I listed quite a few requests/wishes in this thread: http://forum.tixati.com/support/842/

I wish I could export the whole transfer layout page to excel.
All downloads/uplaods/time/Ratio/.... all at once into an excel file.
And the search function in the main transfer layout page. I don't know how to search for a previously downloaded torrent there.

Tixati is unresponsive when allocation files and download speeds suffer majorly

For me this is a major problem with the program.

Any torrent with piece sizes smaller than 5mb (or so) essentially continuously stalls/hangs the program during downloading. When allocating files Tixati is almost completely unresponsive.

Other torrent programs I use have no such problems. This is a shame really, as Tixati is certainly the finest torrent program, but these issues are major problems that need to be resolved because they are moving me away from using it any further.

The answer is here in the forum many times but hard to find. Settings/transfers/local files now find file allocation and change it to sparse files, problem solved.

There is no perceptible difference between sparse & fast allocate.

I would like to have next features in Tixati:

1. When adding new torrent, if there is already a file with the same file name Tixati could fix file size if it differs (append or truncate), check pieces and download missing pieces. This also should work after choosing "Force Check" option from the torrent context menu.
Currently Tixati just throws "Existing file with incorrect size" error and stops the torrent, so user must delete the file and then start the torrent.
This can be helpful in next situations:
- Sometimes I download the big file in browser and the process can be terminated (by accidentally browser restarting/hanging). In this situation if there was a lot of data already downloaded I could (when I was using uTorrent) just find the torrent of same file and continue download missing data. With Tixati I must start downloading from the start.
- When torrent got updated and file size of one or more files got changed but names remain the same. In this situation new files can contain a lot of data from old torrent files (fixed videos or iso images, archives etc), so it would be nice if Tixati could just fix the sizes, check for missing pieces and start downloading them.

2. Would be nice to have "Remove And Delete Local Files" option in context menu for the torrent below present "Remove" option. I think many users are using it with same frequency as the "Remove" option.

3. Also would be great to have an option to put all files of the torrent into desired folder ignoring top level folder of torrent folder structure.
Currently if torrent of a folder was made, when adding that torrent into Tixati it will download files to the folder with the same name as original folder was. And there is no option to not put files into that folder by default (to ignore that top level folder). You can manually tell Tixati to do it by selecting "Location" from context menu for all the files in torrent, but you need to do it for every torrent you adding. So the option to automate this would be nice (probably checkbox in options).

Thanks

@timemachine - Create allow/deny rules using country codes in the IP Filter if that's what you mean, example: "@CA", "@DE", "@AU", etc.

Here is my Wishlist:

1. Download files one-by-one. Ex. If there are 500 files, Files should be downloaded according to its size or name.
2. Permanent option for:

- Priority > Sequential
- Priority > First and Back First

3. No upload limit when seeding. Right now I've to manually remove the Upload limit.

1. and 2. are harmful if too many people start to use them.
3. what do you mean by upload limit? The ratio limit or outgoing bandwidth limit?
by Guest on 2014/08/23 11:56:06 PM
Coming from uTorrent, I'm missing the Search facility that linked directly to pre-configured torrent sites.  Any chance of adding that?
by Cop on 2014/08/24 08:05:34 AM
Hi Pete,

For 1 - You can add option for them like uTorrent, Bitcomet & Vuze.

2. I like this feature so much. but everytime I need to do Right click and then select.

3. I mean outgoing bandwidth. When there are no torrents for downloading then seeding torrents can get full speed.

Cop, on the bandwidth view you can add different bandwidth profiles. Make one for downloading and another one for seeding, then mark them as Downloading Default and Seeding Default. Tixati will switch between them automatically.

@Pete - Thanks :)

Please do some with 1 & 2 Requests :)

I used Tixati for several years.
I liked it.
Then, I started using a VPN.
I had to change over to Vuze because it can bind to an IP.
Add the capability of being able to bind to a network, IP or what ever you want to call it.
Do that and I'll come back to Tixati.

I am very happy to see this update! It means Tixati is still alive. I hope this is the best place to post a synopsis of my previous suggestions.

* Add inactivity metric to transfers.
I want to see how many days or weeks its been since the last peer upload.

* Bandwidth tab should label time axis.
ISP trouble this weekend and tixati couldn't tell me how long ago.

* Smarter defaults for sorting Created.
Biggest issue is reversing Created default.

* Category implications
I have category SEED that I would like to imply constant seeding.

I think that is a pretty accurate and brief overview of my previous post:

After using Tixati, I fell in love with it. It's the best among those torrent clients I have ever used.

"Virtual" names for torrents: when changing names, now Tixati also changes the download folder; I would prefer that download folders would stay unmodified.
by Guest on 2014/08/31 05:01:02 PM
I wish that Tixati would show me how much data has been transferred for each task during the session! (Since the program started). This would help me know which of my torrents are more popular and which are not - especially useful if the machine is on for a long time without supervision.
I love this program, you guys did an amazing job, I think this would be a nice feature/option to add.

Thanks for reading.
