I would really be glad if your team added the feature of Swarm Merging to Tixati, I wanted this feature since a long time.

Tixati will become the ultimate client.

It might not be fully automagic - yet - but it does work for some things.

Having a database of files with related size and hash infos would make it easier to maintain collections that might be updated from time to time, to eliminate duplication of files already in one's library.

Swarm merging is a feature of Vuze. It sounds useful, this would help me numerous times.

I agree it could be very useful, more than it is, if some more automation was added.

My idea would be to catalog all a users media, shared or not and then compare file hashes to all existing. This would avoid waste of time and BW downloading duplicates.  And by mating files across torrents would benefit from this functionality too.

I think Tixati has the base function down, since it can merge multiple torrents into a common folder and then seed them all from it, eliminating file duplication. A little more automagic might do the trick.

Swarm merging seem very useful, why not?
