Tixati proprietary dialog brings no benefit (well I don't see any), but lacks many features that people need.
(do not remember last chosen path, always start at root, cannot quickly select path, cannot use user favourities, .....)
going deep to a deep path all over again is a hell for clicking monkeys.

If you want to keep proprietary dialog, why not adding a checkbox into UI settings and let user select which folder choose dialog to use.
