Your ship is sailing fantastically mate! Your UPNP is working excellent from seeing that RED graph, signifying that your auto routing is working. As for the misconception of the 80 "ports"? You're not actually running with 80 open ports for TIXATI, you're looking at a "survey" of the quality of your connections. I can understand the confusion as the window is titled "PORTS". I won't pretend to be able to explain the meat and potatoes of this, but yes, its essentially a limitation of tixati. HOWEVER! It's done entirely on purpose and for good reason. Theres no need to call out to say, 500 peers just to test the waters and have your cpu running haywire just for QA pings, 80 is more than enough. This is NOT the only specific reason why its limited to 80, its a bit more complex. And above my pay grade! 😋
It has to do with buckets of peers in DHT using kademlia routing tables, which are several Address books of up to 8 peers each, in a particular geological location holding 8 peers each. 10 buckets altogether, totalling 80. It's unnecessary to ping more than this. I think other routings also use 16 peers per bucket but again, I'm not well versed here.
Heres the wiggle!: What you're seeing is 80 max in a steady stream of past connections for testing, surveying the landscape. IT"S NOT meant for you to view as current amount of connections, but slightly in the past quality assurances. These are quality pings, through 1 port! You can still have hundreds of peers connected at once!
