Hello, after the upgrade to tixati v3.44 it does no longer function on my linux mint 21.3 cinnamon.
Everything in the user interface is frozen after starting but I can move the window around by holding the top bar with the name.
If I try to start a torrent or magnet link it does load it into the interface for a second but then instantly freeze again.
Only killing the process by force quits the program. Restarting my computer does not fix it.

For reference I used v3.43 before the upgrade.

I cannot find any log files that say anything about why the program hangs either.

Just for clarification, tixati is frozen as soon as you start up? For how long if you leave it be?
You have no torrents in the program, is this normal? Does this freezing happen every time you start v3.44 and did it start as soon as you updated? Do you have any Channels running?
Before you start a torrent or magnet link is the program responding yet, you mention that it instantly freezes again after you add a torrent?
After you add a torrent and it freezes again, if you leave it alone does it become responsive again? Does the torrent continue downloading, does it finish?

Are you sure you had no problem with v3.43? Looking at the news page v3.44 is just a minor update from the v3.43 which was released only a few days earlier. There is very little added to v3.44 from v3.43.

For now you could try downgrading to whichever version you had that was working for you until there is a new release.

It takes a split second after starting before it hangs. I tried leaving it on for 10 minutes and it is still frozen, as soon as i click anything it says tixati is not responding.
I had torrents in 3.43 but they disappeared once this bug occured. No channels running. If I start tixati via a torrent link or magnet link it does show up but tixati hangs after one second.
If I just leave it alone with a torrent showing in the GUI it is still frozen after 5 minutes. Currently impossible to download anything.
I am sure this worked before 3.44 but it may be a bug in linux mint too.

Edit: I tried installing version 3.43 and have the same issue so it is not related to Tixati itself.

    Bloody Linux eh? I think it has something to do with I/O scheduling, it's an educated guess! But I'll be damned if I care to waste more time to find out. Linux latency issues..

   Anyways! I was having this same issue recently (it's certainly similar!) in mint 22.3. As soon as i turned off the ***AUTO MANAGE DOWNLOAD AND UPLOAD SLOTS**** no more freezing! It's under ****TRANSFERS - GENERAL****.

I am experiencing the same problem in Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia MATE. Tixati just freezes about a second after it opens. Can't click anything, just have to "Force Quit". The problem seemed to begin following a kernel update. I have tried reinstalling Tixati, but to no avail.
