I've downloaded a few files onto my PC and then moved them to a USB stick. When I try to open the files on another device, the the title shows, but says that the folder is empty. This has only recently started happening & the only change I've made to the 2nd device is to download the Microsoft HVEC player. Anyone have any ideas whats going on?

Which software is used to open the files? Some kind of media library application?

Or are you talking about opening that directory in Explorer, and seeing that it's empty? Then your flash drive might be bad or fake, test it with widely availalble tools.
