Add confirmation before deleting a torrent from the list after D

by Guest on 2026/07/14 11:33:55 PM
Hello,

I use a logitech mx keyboard to control 2 pc, it happens that I press DEL thinking to delete a file in PC 1 while instead the keyboard is controlling PC2 that runs Tixati.

This triggers the deletion of the torrent from the list and the dialog that asks if I want to keep the files.

Could it be that DEL triggers also a "do you want to remove this torrent?" dialog before "do you want to keep the files?"

I would appreciate it, as now the only way not to lose the torrent is to kill tixati from ctrl alt del and restart it

Thanks very muck

@guest, do not reveal your name and donor status in threads. it is unhelpful and privacy-breaking

i searched and found that no option exists for a confirmation dialog before deleting a transfer from list. this should have been present since version 1. devs are seriously messed up

added in list of unresolved issues and marked as priority https://forum.tixati.com/support/8374

it is surprising that despite my usage of tixati and posting about issues, this one i missed when i should have noticed it long ago

Right-click on Delete button in the Transfers view, choose Undo Last Remove.

@mods, same person who maintains the list of unresolved issues. edit my post to add the following

devs should drop everything else and quickly release a small update which has this confirmation dialog

Thank you, looking forward for the fix. Warm regards

As someone else already said, "click on Delete button in the Transfers view, choose Undo Last Remove". I'd rather not have a confirmation window pop up, being able to undo is enough.

guest who said to not add confirmation dialog needs their head smashed open

confirmation dialog with setting to disable it should be a must
