INCOMPLETE FILES hanging around on each partition on upgrade fro

by Guest on 2026/06/24 06:49:08 PM
I made today an update from Tixati standalone 3.42.1 to 3.44.1  it's like third time when Tixati erase my list from Transfers, channels, etc and let me down because i had a list of over 100 torrents trying to download others had reach 99% waiting few MB's, I was trying to recover older  INCOMPLETE TORRENTS lost in identical circumstances and along them I had new ones downloading. Now I have to do it all over again.

For this program the very first step in its start-up no matter of type of install (installer or standalone) is to compare settings of older, already installed or standalone Tixati's setting that resides on that PC with default setting of new version of itself.

After that try to import all Channels, all Transfers(Completed, Downloading, Stopped, Offline), with all their states and incomplete files and their locations. Because i have 2 partitions of 2 TB on my SSD so that some torrents are on  partition I:\ others are on J:\ and always are like 10-15GB free to manage the daily routine.

This task need to be automated.

Look, this app is a very complex File Manager with torrent capabilities(to say at least and only the obvious), I know that in list of Downloading and Completed torrents/Files are in my I:\ or J:\dld\torr\  BUT NOTHING MORE, and are hundreds  if not thousands of files to search and find the exact torrent/files in each of that locations.

So DEVELOPER, pls, introduce some software update to detect already installed settings and torrent files, and INLCOMPLETE files, and Transfer list, Channels, so that we don't start all over again and with an handicap of aprox.50GB of INCOMPLETE FILES hanging around on each partition.

BTW., my station seeds those 15-20 torrents that reached 99% 24/7.

Besides that software is great, keep it up.

I see you are using the standalone version so you should just be replacing the old tixati file with the new one. Are you doing that or something different? You said this has happened before, do you always update the same way? Running the standalone version you shouldn't be using the installer.

Yes, I did as usually, unpacked the zipped standalone app and then configured the directories for download and incomplete that are set to the same partition.

Do yourself a favor and setup a backup schedule.

I'd also check whatever storage device you're using for issues. Losing files so many times is weird and not common at all.
