Merging transfers from two Tixati instances while preserving met

by Guest on 2026/03/22 12:41:31 AM
Hi,

I’m running Tixati on two separate machines and would like to consolidate all transfers onto a single instance.

The goal is to preserve existing transfer metadata where possible - specifically, the original “date added”, and ratio and transfer statistics.

I understand that re-adding .torrent files will not retain this information.

Is there any supported or recommended way to:

- merge transfer lists from two Tixati instances, or
- import transfers from another instance without overwriting the current list?

From what I can tell, transfer state appears to be stored in core2.dat. Does Tixati provide any mechanism to combine or reconcile multiple datasets, or is exporting/importing .torrent files from one instance into the other essentially the only option?

Appreciate the help.

I asked the AI and this is what it told me. I'm pretty sure its correct.

The Bottom Line: You can preserve the functionality (seeding the same files) but the historical stats (ratio and date added) cannot be merged between two active instances.
