Could you please explain why disabling the Channel tab also causes the Home tab to disappear? Previously, the Home tab remained visible and displayed the statistics even when the Channel tab was disabled.

Is this the expected behaviour, or has something changed recently?

If you want the old home tab and the channels are off, go to Settings -> User Interface -> Behavior. Look for 'Show old home view' and turn that on. You will only see that option if Channels are off.
