Tixati does not appear in my list of default apps, even after uninstall and re-install.
Additionally, I cannot assign tixati as the default handler for .magnet files in windows so when clicking magnet links in Chrome, it wants to open in qbittorent, which I do not want.
No amount of changing the defaults in Tixati settings helps at all.
Any help or advice? My impression is that the Tixati installer is not making some neccessary registry entries.
Thanks in advance!

For many years, Windows has not allowed programs to set “real” file associations, and acts as a middleman which decides what the user wants anyway. This is to prey on most illiterate users who can't figure out why Microsoft programs start by default, or switch from them. So go to default applications for protocols page in system settings, and set Tixati for magnet: links. Restart your browser (which is also a data extraction tool for Google). Check its own protocol handler settings to make sure that other client is not set manually.

I've been through all that and what I determined is that Tixati is not fully registering itself in windows 11 as magnet and torrent handlers. I have tried this on three chromium based browsers now and they all see only qbittorent. I am going to try and intall another magent handler such as uttorent and see if chromium sees that in addition you qbittorent.
