How do you prevent Tixati from downloading files that it adds (1) to the beginning of?  Thanks for any and all help with this.

Go to settings-transfers-files.
Uncheck 'Auto-rename new transfers to avoid duplicates'

bigger question is why is that setting enabled by default and allowing duplicates
