by Guest on 2025/09/23 03:08:10 PM
After today update to gnome 49 Tixati no longer display all ui element correctly.
I suspect update to some related libraries broke the UI.

I'm on hyprland and it's also like that. Probably an update on GTK version.

This might have happened due to a dependency update concerning GTK, as far as I am concerned.

I am using Arch Linux with KDE Plasma + the AUR version of Tixati ( https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tixati  ), the same thing happened to me.

As Tixati is part of the AUR (Arch User Repositories), rather than the official ones, I'm curious on how this will be fixed.

It caused by gdk-pixbuf2. Downgrade to 2.42.12 for temporary fix

Thanks everyone for reporting this. The Dev is working on it.

Unfortunately gdk-pixbuf-loader got completely messed up when whoever is in charge of that shitshow decided to get rid of in-library loading and instead make it rely completely on "glycin" library for that function.  It screwed up tons of other programs too.

If you go to duck duck go and search for> gdk-pixbuf glycin problems
then you will see.

It's sad how a few people can make a lot of work for many people.

Thanks! The workaround of downgrading to version 2.42.12-2 worked for me too.
