Docker Tixati

by Guest on 2025/09/17 02:39:13 PM
I’d like to request an official Docker image of Tixati.

I previously installed Tixati on my NAS by running Linux in a VM. Later I found the community Docker image at https://github.com/jlesage/docker-tixati  — it works great, and jlesage has been very helpful. Still, I’d really prefer an official Docker release from the Tixati team.

I plan to run Tixati on my OpenWrt device (the Channel feature with I2P makes that especially appealing), and Docker would be an ideal fit.

Does the official team have any plans to provide a Docker version? I’d appreciate any update.

It seems to be a great configuration with lots of quality of life improvements. As long as it links to official sites of Tixati and other dependencies, it is “official”. You only need to check the changes in new versions once in a while. Alternatively, you can just copy a specific one, and use or extend it independently.

So, you mention OpenWRT as your platform which typically means platforms using ARM64 CPUs.

There is currently no ARM64 Linux build (there is Android, but is not relevant for putting in a docker container)

which means you probably won't be able to run Tixati on your platform (yet). (and I really wouldn't want to recommend using CPU emulators like qemu-user for a CPU-heavy program like Tixati)
