Provide I2P Helper plugin inside Tixati

by Guest on 2025/08/22 05:00:55 PM
Please, provide I2P Helper plugin inside Tixati.

I2Pd disconnects automatically after sometime. This has happened many times until now.

I2Pd is in default settings, Tixati is in default settings, I have symmetric fiber optic connection, hard drive of desktop is fine.

But some how it just disconnects.

You can study BiglyBT, it has inbuilt I2P helper plugin so connection stays reliant and resilient all the time. Only issues with that torrent client is its unnecessary and non removable bloat and extremely huge RAM usage.

I shifted to Tixati because it is so lightweight and easy to use.

I hope you will atleast look into my request.

Thanks.

I don't see any random disconnects at all with i2pd node and some number of torrents active in public and/or I2P networks.

Can you check what the logs say when the disconnect happens? Diagnostics — I2P Monitor — Event Log in Tixati, and i2pd log file in its data directory (usually in %APPDATA%\Roaming).

Maybe there's a hidden limit to some message size, and you have thousands of torrents that trigger it?

Have you excluded both programs from unwanted attention of anti-virus service?

Yes I've added both of them to exclusion list from antivirus and firewalls and windows defender service.

I have close to 40 torrents now.

Tixati diagnostics log doesn't say much but I'll double check again.

unstable i2p speeds = speed goes to  over 1 megabytes per second and then reverts back to 80 kib per second. and then goes to 0. stays on zero until windows 10 pc is refreshed. total torrents 25.

tixati logs just show = peer disconnected, tracker error.
i2pd log is also similar.

all firewall settings are perfect, no conflict with antivirus.

I also checked with Java I2P, which was far more stable than i2pd. But there is no need to use tixati if I am going to use Java i2p as it comes with inbuilt torrent client called i2psnark.

Requesting again = inbuilt i2p plugin just like biglybt for better connection stability and reliability.

the dev did some work on the I2P support with v3.37. my connections are working better.

Not working for me that's why I reported the error and I am asking a feature request of I2P Helper plugin inside Tixati.

I put my torrents over night and then checked the Bytes Counter - it did transfer some data but then everything got stalled after some time.

The only reason I can think about is that network I/O is tied to disk I/O in i2pd, and connections can timeout if they are not processed fast enough because of severe disk request congestion.

So please check that you don't have disk errors in system journals, recoverable/unrecoverable sector errors in SMART logs and table, do a surface scan, and check the file system correctness. I'm not sure if it's possible, but with multiple disk queues one application might hang, while the rest of the system, accessing other areas, might seem to work. Of maybe the SSD firmware went crazy because something is wrong with internal data, and the disk has to be fully cleared or scrapped. Obviously, if your system is overloaded and swapping, that might be the reason.

You can also try to delete i2pd log file, netdb and peer profiles from the data directory (in AppData on Windows) after stopping the node if they have grown enormous (on old nodes). Those should not affect the operation on a regular system. i2pd might take some time to gather fresh up to date stats on the next start.

In case you've somehow limited the allowed frequency of disk activity of i2pd process, user account it runs under, etc., please continue to experiment.

Disk is completely fine, no errors, no SMart error. Nothing. Have done all tests possible.

Other torrent clients work and completely use my 100% bandwidth and still nothing happens to my computer.

I also believe this error is related to I2Pd not being able to handle requests properly.

That's why it firms my belief that Tixati needs to have its own - inbuilt I2P plugin.

Which is what I've been requesting.

Tixati + I2Pd setup = https://i.postimg.cc/0y587ChV/Untitled.png

Still no respite.

Requesting again for inbuilt I2P helper plugin.

Another reason to  switch towards inbuilt I2P router plugin rather than be dependent on external router.

The Dev is looking into and working on adding this. There are other things that have to be done first. Please be patient.

As far as I can see, this must be Windoze-specific. On Linux I have awesome speeds with I2PD and none of the problems discussed above.
