this torrent takes for ever to initialize files

its been like 3 hours and its only ~30% done
ssd is a Samsung 990 pro 1b so unlikely to be a bottleneck

Does the torrent have a lot of files?
Try going to Settings-Transfers-Files and turning on the option for 'On-Demand allocation'
then it will allocate files as it needs them
