Im trying to download a torrent and under the progress tab it just says "fetching meta data" and then flickers between downloading and searching dht. I have no clue what to do. Someone please help me!!

From the sound of it, you're trying to download a torrent from a magnet link.  When everything goes normally, after a small interval (depending on the torrent, it could be a few seconds or a bit more than that) the download should start or a window with the download preferences should come up (depending on your Tixati preferences). If it's a dead torrent with no seeders, however, you might not be able to conclude the download process.

I suggest you wait a while to see if the (actual) download begins. If it doesn't, you're probably better off searching for a different torrent.
