About Proxy

by Guest on 2025/05/09 05:53:49 PM
Hello everyone. I need a short answer about the proxy. Intuitively, I understand that it seems to work that way, but it would be better for me if another specialist confirmed it right away. In many articles (unfortunately, for some reason they are not updated properly, by the way, there are old screenshots), that using a proxy cannot protect everything related to udp, so it is recommended to turn it off, and this is everywhere. But in the modern version, I see that in the Proxy settings there is now an option with udp, the first question now is, do you need to turn off anything? And the second one, which follows from the first, I intuitively understand that this seems to be the case, but once again it wouldn't hurt if you confirmed it. The options that are "TCP Default" and "UDP Default", if you enter the necessary authorization data there, will it immediately affect the options "TCP Trackers", "TCP Peers" and "UDP Trackers", "UDP Peers and DHT"?

This requires an advanced proxy with UDP support.
I trust the dev to be thorough, but you are better off testing it yourself with Wireshark. Sorry for the non answer.
