Hello guys. Yesterday I installed Networx and enabled the option to "ignore traffic from the LAN". I then went ahead and downloaded Elementary OS to view the traffic on the app I had just installed and to my surprise very little traffic came through even though the size of the download was 690 mb. My question is, why is Tixati seen peer traffic as LAN traffic? Thanx in advance...

Need more details. How are you connected to the internet? router, modem, both? How does your computer communicate with them,is it wireless or though a wire?

My desktop is wired via a router and I monitor the traffic to and from it.

My box is wired and connected to a router.

Wired is LAN so if you excluded it on your monitor that is why you are not seeing it. Choose "all" no duplicates, unless you have multi comps running torrent software on the same network.

I customized the range of IPs that should not be monitored and now I'm good.
