I'm looking to simply change the location of a bunch of files without having tixati copy over the files or re-check them.

yes, select the torrent, right click, select local files and then select location.
now move the files anywhere you want.

Fuck, I messed up the title. Shouldn't have used the word "move".

This is the thing I was trying to avoid.

I want to set the location and have tixati trust the files are there and not perform any other actions like checking or moving.

I figured it out.

Stop torrent.
Delete files.
Use "Move" button.
