you have to turn off channels in the settings to get that view back.
the info that was in the home tab has been moved.
the bandwidth tab, in the advanced button has the byte counter
the ?/help button->diagnostics has the system log and the incoming connections.
I don't use channels often so I solved it but ZarkBit is right, the main screen offers an overview of uploads, downloads and general data
tixati is a good software, don't ruin it

In case anyone cares about my opinion, I'm a bit puzzled by the half-heartedness of the change.
If there is a plan to inform the newbies that Channels exist (and I have nothing against that), then you need to inform them that connecting to all/many channels at once is a really bad idea. Otherwise, they are not aware that the performance toll and memory bloat is strictly Channels-related (nor they are expected to be), and conclude that “Wow, Tixati sucks, it lags like hell” as a whole.
I am interested in examining software and keeping an eye on what it does, I can see the connection between channel database file size, load times, and memory consumption, and can conclude that in the absence of disc access and with lots of free memory, Tixati hogging a single CPU core and hanging the UI can only be explained by exponentially growing internal re-processing of all the marked text data, and that faster SSDs, bigger memory sticks, and more expensive processors won't help in this case. However, not everyone can reach the same conclusions.
