Hello Tixati experts.
After googling my problem, i'm still unable to find answers.

I'm using a new NAS (Synology) with Ext4 FS but Tixati keeps checking files multiple times.
the log shows:
[10:34:36]  file last modified time mismatch > (PATH to my NAS)

never had this problem with my older Nas which was ext2 FS

Help would be greatly apreciated.

regards

I also have this issue.  I have a few downloads that check the file over and over and over and over. In between it downloads a little but then rechecks the files.  It's maddening and I can't find any info on the cause or how to fix.

I also download to a NAS

Any help would be really appreciated

Thank you

Same problem here using ZFS for storage

I have no fix for this, but I do have a bit of a workaround.   I download the files to a local directory and then have it copy it to my NAS.   Not ideal by any means, but it did seem to fix the issue for me.

These 2 options are in Settings -> Transfers -> Local Files.   First directory is local, 2nd directory is on the NAS.

The error that repeatedly comes up is that the file timestamps are out of sync and therefore it needs to recheck every time it writes any blocks to disc.  While I use NTP on both servers, it is not the exact same service on both.  That may fix it, but that ended up being too much hassle for me to deal with.

Edit.   FYI this is on version 1.96

I'm on the latest Tixati version, and it's doing it as well - "Checking" in a never ending loop

I have exactly the same problem - Using Dlink NFS storage

hmmm.. right now my torrent storage is on local drives... but I am planning on consolidating my media on a LAN file server. I can't test this now but hope that if it is broken, that it gets fixed.

I haven problems with my Zyxel NAS as well. Tixati can't find my NAS. In Vuze i never had any problems. So I like to know how to solve this problem.

have you tried turning on Permissive last-write time checks?

settings->transfers->local files

also i assume you are running 1.99 and not 1.96. if not upgrade.

I have same problem, can't find any solution on google or forums. Downloading torrents to my Western Digital MyCloud will result in torrents checking constantly. Tixati version 1.99, permissive last-write time checks has no effect on this.

Same problem here with WD MY Cloud NAS

I'm also having this problem (on v1.99)

I have a freenas box where the in-progress and complete downloads are stored. The NAS box and the pc that tixati is running on sync to the same, local network based NTP server.

it's forever checking files.

I don't really mind that its checking them, except that when it is checking with a few "waiting" to be checked, tixati becomes almost unusaeble. it can take up to a minute to respond to a mouse click.

I have "permissive last writ-time checks" enabled
