Because of how posts are moderated here, one needs to wait on average 48 hours to get a published answer. To reduce this time, I suggest that active members get permission to read posts that are still not approved by moderators. This way, they can answer to them fast, and the moderator can approve both the question and the answer at the same time. This also reduces the situation of double answers (members willing to help don't know the question has a hidden answer), which leads you sometimes to ignore the question because you assume it's answered.

Maybe the only reason moderators will not want this, is for cases when people post uncensored screenshots, crash dumps etc. The latter is rather serious but very rare.

You are right. Sometimes less prudent people share things that may put them in troubles.
