Connect to peers out of queue in case of new torrents

by kisgyerek on 2023/10/07 05:23:23 PM
Is there a way to make Tixati to start connecting to peers immediately when I add a new torrent?

Currently it waits 5-10 minutes before connecting to any of the peers which is much slower than it should be (imho).
...I have 1000+ torrents running at the same time...

I agree. My amount of transfers is of the same order. It takes too long for the connection queue to reach these new peers, DHT works instantly in comparison. Maybe I can be considered to have choked outgoing connection attempts too much, but with so many torrents and an open port it's smarter to wait to receive connections. This is to say I don't wish to bump outgoing connections to be instant... and increase bandwidth overhead for 99% of the time. Unless there's good reason to?

Workaround: open peers tab, select all peers and click Connect (or stop/disconnect before). This will force the connections to happen asap

Thanks for mentioning the workaround. I just would like to add that the easiest way to select all peers is to press CTRL+A.
Sadly there is no option for this in the right click menu.
