Move on Complete still broken in 3.12

by Guest on 2022/10/17 05:16:25 PM
I upgraded to 3.12 and saw that "Move on Complete" was still failing as it was in 3.11.  I reverted back to 2.89.

The download will complete, but the status will cycle between "Moving..." and "Seeding Ratio Exceeded" forever, and the file remains in the Downloads location.

Same here, I have about 3,000 .torrents in various stages of downloading all in limbo. Its a terrible situation, similar to a 3,000 card pickup off the floor so to speak. How do I obtain a obviously older than v3.11, v3.12 install and try and download as many of these pending .torrents stuck in limbo currently on Tixati v3.12 as I can?

I'm using a linux ubuntu kernel amd64 .deb installs.

Just to ask, has this issue been acknowledged by the development team?  I saw it reported early on after 3.11 was released and was really hoping it would have been addressed in 3.12.  I need to hold off upgrading until this works properly, but I hate to lag behind.  Is this an issue with the software, or is there something I can do on my client to address whatever is causing this?

Thanks for your help.

What OS?
Do you have a slow computer?
do any torrents finish properly, or do all of them cycle between "Moving..." and "Seeding Ratio Exceeded"?
if any finish properly, have those torrent not yet reached their Seeding Ratio?
if you stop and then start the torrent what happens?
what if you turn off the Seeding ratio? does the torrent move as it should?

tixati could be getting caught trying to stop because of the ratio and move because its complete.

I'm using Windows 10.  This has nothing to do with the PC.  This broke in Tixati v3.11 and works fine in previous versions.  I don't know if there are ways to 'force' the move, I didn't try a lot of things to get it working.  I depend on the files being moved so I didn't spend a lot of time with 3.11 or 3.12 getting around it.  My 'fix' was reverting to the older, working version of Tixati (v2.89).  There was a thread about this when 3.11 was released so I was hoping it would have been addressed in v3.12, but I haven't really seen much of an official acknowledgement of the issue.  I know that the upgrade to 3.11 seemed like a massive amount of change so I'm sure the dev team has a lot going on.  Hopefully it can be addressed in the next build.

Tixati v3.14 has been released and all move on complete problems should be fixed.

If anyone is still having problems with move on complete failing or being held up please post something so the devs can fix it.
