Move on Complete

by Guest on 2022/08/29 11:11:19 PM
With the latest version 3.11 some of my files are not moving on complete.
It just says "Moving" forever. If i turn it off, then back on, it moves instantly.
Anyone else having this issue?

What OS?
do all files fail to move on complete?
by turn it off do you mean close the program or just stop and start the torrent?
on my linux and win 7 the files are moving on complete as they should.

win 7 pro
incoming and seeding folders on the same USB external drive

downloaded 10 small torrents in 15 minutes and all moved to the move test folder without any interaction

iow, works for me

Running Windows 10.
Some files move on complete.
A few files do not move and the "Status" column changes to "Moving..." every 1/2 second.
On the file "Right Click->Local Files->Location->Cancel current move".
Then "Right Click->Local Files->Location->C:\Completed" and the file moves.
I've recreated the directory and changed the setting in Tixati with no luck.

I will downgrade to previous version to verify.

I had the same issue, except it wasn't "stuck" on moving the files, they were just in the "Downloads" location when the transfer completed.  This has never happened prior to 3.11.
by ZarkBit on 2022/08/30 09:19:17 PM
Win10, working fine here, sometimes it copies the file instead of moving it for no reason, but seems to be working properly.

Windows 10

I've used the same settings for months with no issues.
Then upgraded to v3.11.
After complete the status columm flashes "Moving..." but never moves.
I "Right Click->Local files->Location->Cancel move in progress".
Then "Right Click->Local files->Location->C:\Completed" and it moves instantly.

Any ideas?

I went back to v2.89 and after 60 files downloaded there was no problem on move.
So it looks like a feature of v3.11.

Same Problem on Linux, so it's not just windows.
by Guest on 2022/09/06 07:12:30 PM
is the move on complete folder on the same drive as the download folder or different drive?
by Bv5t3r on 2022/09/08 03:29:19 AM
Windows 10

Same drive.

I reverted back to v2.89 until this move on complete issue can be addressed.  Sounds like there were a ton of changes for 3.11 so hopefully they can get the kinks worked out quickly.  I'm using Windows 10.

I have the same problem, downloads are not moving on complete. Started with Tixati 3.11, never experienced this problem with older versions.

It may be worth noting I have enabled "Redundant hash-check on completion" for transfers but not files.

Tixati 3.11 (portable)

Is anyone able to confirm if this 'MOVE ON COMPLETE' issue is fixed in v3.12 please?
by Guest on 2022/10/27 11:47:09 PM
I'm still experiencing this problem in 3.12. I've been running it for a few days now and downloaded a few torrents, they all got stuck on Moving.
by janet on 2022/12/13 06:29:04 AM
Tixati v3.14 has been released and all move on complete problems should be fixed.

https://www.tixati.com/download/

If anyone is still having problems with move on complete failing or being held up please post something so the devs can fix it.
by Guest on 2022/12/22 10:58:15 PM
Still having the issue. Restarting tixati does sometimes trigger it to solve.
by Guest on 2023/01/02 01:06:47 AM
Also experiencing this issue with 3.14.

Stopping all other torrents helps alleviate, but transfers are extremely slow.
