I have been using Tixati since 2012 and I can vouch that there is no better torrent client than Tixati. But upgrading to new versions has never been a smooth process on my Ubuntu. I had to manually open and check for newer versions as I don't run Tixati in the background. Then download and install the new deb file from the internet. So in my opinion, it would be a better UX, if Tixati is provided from a repository. Users would be able to experience a continuous upgrade via update manager.

A PPA would already be a great help!  They are not hard to create, once one has the .deb file.
