Windows defender marks Tixati as PUA

by Guest on 2021/03/27 06:42:51 AM

Today windows defender decided to mark tixati as a virus, this is a real action from microsoft and not random heuristics

If your pc is not managed you can still let it exec, if it's managed you will have to use another BT client.

Tixati has NO spyware or adware.

It has been flagged as PUA (Potentially Unwanted Application) by Microsoft's Windows Defender only because Tixati is a torrent client. Other torrent clients have also been flagged as PUA by Microsoft's Windows Defender just for being torrent clients.

Here is more information:

I fixed it by going to Windows Security>Virus & Threat Protection>Protection History>This app has been blocked (Low)>Actions>Allow

Thanks for the fix. I was trying to find a way to bypass it but Defender removed it twice.

I allowed the program like above, but it's still gone from it's folder.
I decided to reinstall it to the same location.. good thing my torrents and settings seem to be intact.
