Tixati 2.81 Wrongly Detected as a Virus

by Guest on 2021/03/04 08:30:02 AM
When I opened Tixati recently, Windows prevented it saying that it was a virus. I downloaded the newest edition, 2.81, and it still blocks the download saying that its a virus. Are there any potential reasons why this new version might be detected as such?

No! Just scan with Virus Total, and look

I wouldn't really call that a reliable method of certification

Virus Total, a Google service, which scan with Norton, Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Microsoft, and much others, with the most updated databases for each one, is not reliable? kkkkkk Is the best reliability available for humans in the earth face son.

If you fully read the initial post, it says that it's wrongly detected. The question is about what new features in tixati could have caused it to occur. And no, a single virus scanner is not all-knowing.

Yes nothing is 100% secure, just God is, but, I think your case is a common AV fake positive, not beacause tixati new features, but because changed the exe signature.

From this sentence I assume you have been running Tixati without an issue until now, and it was Windows Defender which blocked it.
I think you either got a virus which somehow also infected the Tixati executable, or you use a work/school computer and your administrator changed policies to block P2P applications.

LOL good job wasting time on an argument about false positives when Tixati.exe is full green on VirusTotal.

Got detected as a PUA, nothing to worry about, not sure why MS decided that.

Thanks Zark, that would be the reason!
