Padlock Image

by Spangactus on 2014/04/27 08:58:07 PM
I downloaded a torrent file that, when I open in Tixati, it displays an icon that looks like a padlock beside the filename. I know from reading the help files that when specifying the download location in settings, a padlock beside a folder name mens the folder is read-only. The torrent file is not read-only. What does this mean?

Thanks,

joe

Padlock next to transfer name means the torrent is private. Tixati will use only trackers to obtain peer's addresses for that torrent.
If you see a lock icon next to a name, it indicates a 'private' torrent. This means DHT and PEX will not be used for this transfer. This is meant to control access to the swarm via the tracker.

for future reference and edification, this and more is explained on the tixati support wiki:
