I keep getting a lot of peers that always time out all using the same port number and different ip, blocking them by IP is very teidious so it would be great if the option to block peers based on port number could be added.

If connecting to the peer times out, that could mean they are firewalled(aka not port forwarded). Most clients have NAT traversal but there's no guarantee it would always work. You can ignore the timeout. If the port you keep on seeing is 51413 (or something close to that number), I think that's the default port for Transmission. I can't remember the exact port number it uses by default.
