I installed Tixati yesterday on good reviews I had read and at first the speeds I got with Tixati were a lot better than what I was getting with utorrent 5 KB/s peak - 150 KB/s off peak for utorrent to 250 to 300 KB/s during the peak with Tixati, but that was yesterday today the speeds I am getting are the same as before around 7 KB/s.
DHT is running, both incoming ports are forwarded.
I tried forwarding the ports though the FritxBox same result.
Glasnost reports that there is no indication my ISP limits my uploads or downloads.
I'm at a loss as to what is going on as it shouldn't take 1 day 10 hours to download a 1gig file when the the previous day it would have been a couple of hours
can anyone help

you can only control what your system does
you can't control what your ISP does
or what any of the other peers on the torrent scene do
the number of seeds/peers that can provide you with that 1 gig file varies.
there share settings varies
the number of other peers they are sharing with varies.
Best you can do is prepare to share yourself, and create a culture of givers not vultures
be a part of the solution - optimize your system to share with as many slots and as much UL BW and system resources as you can
encourage others to do the same, as this is a matter of mutual aid and assistance.
The more we can spread that meme, the stronger our collective library and sharenet will be.
