When everything's ready you're prompted to Start the download.

Can that prompt be removed, suppressed, omitted or even discouraged?

You can change the settings from the same Start prompt window:
1. Add a new transfer (preferably from a .torrent file so its instant)
2. Bottom left: Settings
3. Set the timeout to 30 seconds (minimum)

After 30s the transfer will begin automatically to the default location (or defined by your auto-category rules).
