Error opening files for allocation, System cannot find the files

by Mixer on 2020/04/06 09:28:11 AM
I have the above message while trying to download a very large torrent.

I thought I could manage a smaller system drive because single files would flow through temporary files to the final location but it didn't work out that way.

Now I have 300-someething gig torrent with about half of it done but something has gone wrong in the files and Force Check doesn't fix it.

What I really want it to do is Force Check, tell me what files are OK, and delete anything it thinks is OK, but it is stuck with the above error.

The files that seem the get stuck I can't Open if I try to open them individually.

Is there some way I can force/override this?

If I exclude certain files I can get the download to go again.  But it's hundreds of files.

I've resized my partition so I have plenty of room now but I'm otherwise stuck

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Running Windows 10, 64bit.
