Keep Getting "file not found on HTTP server" from webseed peers

by Guest on 2020/01/31 02:15:14 PM
These are http(s) links on archive.org torrents.

Torrent comments say:
"Note: retrieval usually requires a client that supports webseeding (GetRight style)."

Is it the links or tixati?

tixati supports webseeding. So it's either a bug in tixati or more likely the file isn't there to http download. You could try a different client that supports webseeding to confirm one way other the other.

What OS and what version of tixati?

do webseeds from anywhere else work?

It is tixati. I have the same issue but the torrent webseed works fine in aria2 for example.
e.g. (torrent removed by mod and sent to devs) works in Tixati also but there are others that do not, maybe I find some.

Tixati is still the best but I wish that long existing bug would be fixed.
Best regards!

It had been partially fixed in 2.73: https://forum.tixati.com/support/6601
Don't rename the torrent or otherwise it will try to download from the wrong URL.

If it doesn't help, provide some logs to pinpoint your issue if you can.
