If I start v2.61/64-bit and I click the Check for updates menu item quickly, it show the "Checking..." dialog and the it disappears and nothing more happens.

If I click it again later, it works fine... or not. I just tried again and even the second try does not work. The dialog saying there is an update appeared only on third click (this time immediately, as if it was there, but somehow hidden).

Note: I had high CPU load while this was happening


I updated to v2.62 and could not reproduce it anymore.
