If so, might it be possible for supporting both direct p2p and something like I2P at the same time?

The global option might be for "Use I2P only" by default.

Then selected files, folders or Categories of torrents might be set to "Allow direct p2p" for network bw efficiency. Another option would be to have "Use I2P only" settings for select files, folders and categories that would override any inadvertent or intentional global setting to "Allow Direct p2p".

Filtering DHT advertising might also follow these settings if possible. Haven't thought that through and actually don't have enough comprehension of how that all works. Just day dreaming.

And along that line, just thinking that the global default could have another strict setting:

() Force I2P (Ignore/override exceptions) - when paranoia strikes (or reality gets very real)
() Use I2P (Allow exceptions by file, folder, category settings)
() Prefer direct p2p (but allow I2P requests)
() Use direct p2p (with exceptions)
() ?

Useful? Feasible? Doable?
