Optimize for Seeding

by Guest on 2014/03/13 05:12:21 AM
Hello All. I just recently got a gigabit fiber connection and I want to seed more, faster. I'm found that I'm unable to even reach a tenth of my bandwidth, even when connecting to many many peers. I have found however that if I select all peers, and force unchoke them, I reach upload speeds to double or even triple what I was originally getting (but still play a video game, streaming hd movies, etc, no problem)

Is there a way to tell tixati to always force unchoke? Sometimes new peers connect and I have to manually go and unchoke them as well.

Thanks

There's an option called "Upload Maximization", you can find it on each torrent's Options tab > Peers page. It does exactly what you do manually, according to Tixati help page:
Upload Maximization
This option will unchoke all peers at all times. This is useful for users that are trying to boost their upload ratio.

Awesome! I knew tixati has it somewhere. It seems to have everything!

Thanks!

1- Go to Transfers tab.
2- Choose the torrent with a mouse left click.
3- Do a right click.
4- A list will show up, choose Properties
5- You will get a new window, click on Options
6- Click on Peers (bottom left corner)
7- Check all peers stay unchoked

https://support.tixati.com/transfer%20properties%20-%20options  the last section on that page

seems present on 2.88 for me, although this is the first I'm learning of this option, I'd like to eventually see this in the transfers view right click menu though as it will only become more useful as fiber becomes more common for people. (bufferbloat realistically doesn't exist on fiber)

It's called 'Force Unchoke' after right-clicking a peer in list. In simple terms it only sets the peer to higher priority. Its not magic

To be clear the third Guest post was me, and when i post "Ok i found it it was in the tab option > peers" the post of TX007 was not visible (pedning review or browser cache issue i don't know) but thanks anyway :)

you're right, I appear to have confused this option with something else
