Not finding peers/can't connect

by SpaceOctopus on 2018/04/05 01:23:06 AM
I have recently started experiencing a crippling problem with Tixati, where it refuses to find & connect to peers. The torrents have plenty. I have double checked by running an identical torrent in qbitorrent, & found that:
Tixati: 3(7) seeds
[code]qbitorrent: 95(108)

I have confirmed this happens with every torrent I try to download now.
A lot of times they find 0 seeds (but there are) & even when they do find any, it doesn't download, most don't connect, or I have abysmal speed.

I have checked the settings, and nothing jumps out as being the culprit, and I didn't change anything between when it was working & now.
I have also turned logging on for each test torrent at level 5, and didn't see anything come up that is worth mentioning.

I am a donor, I love Tixati with all my heart, it took me forever to find & fall in love with it. Please help me, I really don't want to use anything else. :(

what OS? What version of Tixati?

have you changed anything on your computer?

the numbers displayed for tixati only show you others that it has made a connection to and know they are real.

are you sure that all the peers that the other client is displaying are real?

are you on a private tracker?

Hi. Same problem as SpaceOctopus. And yes, I am now on VPN. What can I do?
by SpaceOctopus on 2018/05/09 02:03:39 AM
windows 7, and yes the peers are real. As I stated, I have tested the same exact, identical torrents with another program & found this to be true.  i can no longer use Tixati.

Also the latest version of Tixati.  nothing changed on my computer.

Ditto!  Exact same problems, but I have trimmed some Windoze (7) services by two-  SSDP, and Upnp.  If I need either of these to connect then we have a problem!
Network is fine without them, VPN has no qualms, but Tixati now refuses to provide peers when qbittorrent does.

(tixati 2.57, hardwired to router)

Same problem here as well.  All was good for a while, but can no longer connect or find peers.  This happened in March/April 2018 in version 2.56.  Updated to version 2.57 in May and still have the same problem.

Is nobody going to help with this? I haven't been able to use Tixati for months and months now. All my torrents that I seed are in it, and I really don't want to lose them! Please help. I can provide logs to someone, I don't care, just let me know what information you need. I use my VPN on my router, and all is configured correctly.  Still having the same exact torrents show no seeds in Tixati, while in qbittorrent, it shows many!!  :'(

I have the exact same problem. There have been no changes on my computer or settings, etc. I even reinstalled Tixati with newest version and still nothing. I get all zeros when trying to download.
Strange.

I have experienced the "0 peers, all peers timeout" problem many times. It came and go. So I found a solution that worked for me. Just changed the port and it worked again. So I figure that my ISP is closing ports for me when they detect heavy traffic, or something of that sort. After I changed my incoming ports to random every 12 hours I have not experiencing any trouble again. Hope it helps others
