Folders not moving upcon completion

by Guest on 2018/03/22 11:00:33 AM
Having a weird issue in 2.56 & 2.57 and wondering if anyone is also having it and/or a solution:

Torrents containing folders are not moving upon completion, single files behave as expected though.
This applies both to torrents that I add manually and via RSS.

What OS?

so this was not happening for v2.55?

so the folder(s) and all files contained within are not moving?

are these torrents being put in a category? is a setting here stopping the move?

in the Settings->Transfers->Files do you have 'Move individual files immediately upon completion' turned on?

in the Settings->Transfers->Files do you have 'Directly move file/folder if possible when changing location' turned on?

in the Settings->Transfers->Files do you have 'Incomplete file name format' turned on?

if so, do the files that do not move on complete get renamed?

are the complete torrents supposed to be moving to a different drive?

is there any pattern in the failure to move?

Issue persists in 2.55

correct the whole folder does not shift but individual files work as normal

are these torrents being put in a category? is a setting here stopping the move?
no categories

in the Settings->Transfers->Files do you have 'Move individual files immediately upon completion' turned on?
no, but i do have move

in the Settings->Transfers->Files do you have 'Directly move file/folder if possible when changing location' turned on?
yes

in the Settings->Transfers->Files do you have 'Incomplete file name format' turned on?
no

if so, do the files that do not move on complete get renamed?
n/a

are the complete torrents supposed to be moving to a different drive?
no both the in progress and upon completion are on the same drive.

is there any pattern in the failure to move?
It seems to only affect folders, single files move as expected. for folders when it completes the status flashes "moving" and "seeding" but never actually moves and if the torrent and stopped and resumed it remains in the in progress folder.

so it happens for versions 2.55, 2.56 and 2.57? how about v2.53?

what kind of files are in the folders?

what does it say in the event log when the torrent finishes?

does it fail to move on complete for all torrents with folders?

Can confirm that version 2.56 doesn't save categories' settings upon closing the program. Didn't test 2.57 because some trackers haven't whitelisted it yet, but hopefully it's already fixed by then.

By enabling "Directly move file/folder if possible while changing location" setting to on it seems to have resolved the issue.

I had not manually changed this setting so I can only imagine update to 2.56 somehow changed it or this is just by passing the underlying issue.

For reference, this was happening to folder torrents regardless of source (different trackers, rss, manual, or magnet links) or contents (mixed video + text files or multiple videos), there was never a message in the main log that indicated any issues.

Thank you for your support and assistance.

what specific settings are not being saved?

you said when asked that this setting was already on. i think it is on normally be default.

did ALL torrents with folders fail to move on complete?
