Socket error timed out

by Guest on 2018/03/12 06:13:48 PM
I'm sure this has come  before, but my problem is I can't download torrents now. Everything was fine untill recently; upgraded to latest version as well, no difference...

This is the error message I get - NAT-PMP mapping UDP port 27319 on gateway 192.168.1.1 > socket error waiting for reply: Timed out (50434)
[3:06:24 PM]  UPNP mapped UDP port 27319 on gateway 192.168.1.1

Any suggestions? Thanks

That message would imply you Router is not responding to UPNP/NAT-PMP request, maybe reboot it and/or check the settings making sure UPNP/NAT-PMP is enabled.

I get a similar message
NAT-PMP mapping TCP port 27998 on gateway 192.168.1.1 > socket error waiting for reply: Timed out (50434)
UPNP mapped TCP port 27998 on gateway 192.168.1.1

it means that Nat mapping is not enabled correctly in the router ,however UPNP is enabled, UPNP alone is enough, as i'm able to download and seed with no problems.

Ok thank you guys; interesting TX you said you can download - so can I...wondering if the problem is with this one particular website; appreciate the info on the router config, I'll most likely leave it alone for now. Thanks again
