Transferring seeding files to new drive & system

by erike4 on 2017/10/19 04:51:13 PM
I am about to install Kubuntu 17.10 and replacing SDA drive(larger).
the questions are
1. can I remove files that I am seeding after downloading them and somehow restore them to continue seeding them after I build the new system? (only a single drive on a laptop)
2. how do I move the Incomplete Piece Storage files?
(are their and other that I have missed?)

I can not just empty (finish) my queues as some of the files are not seeding very often so I just let them sit for weeks. I also want to keep seeing files I have downloaded.

Thank you in advance

The easiest way is to copy all torrent contents to exact same path, copy the .tixati folder from the user directory to the new user directory and install fresh Tixati. This will preserve all configuration, incomplete pieces and most likely you won't even need to hash check files.
