Error when connecting to tracker

by BlackAeronaut on 2017/09/26 02:58:35 PM
Howdy.  I'm about at my wit's end with this issue and I really hope someone can help me.

I'm running Tixati 2.55 on Windows 10 Home Edition (version 1703, Build 15063.608) on a Dell Inspiron 11 series hybrid laptop with an Intel N3540 CPU.

My issue is that when attempting to connect to a tracker (I'll refer to it as Tracker X) I get the following error message under the server status column: "Session Interrupted (49921)".

I suspect, though, my issue may have something to do with my web connection because I get a similar result using uTorrent v2.2.1 - "Connection Closed by Peer".

No torrent I download from Tracker X seems to work - I always get the same error.  And I'm not having this issue with other trackers.  I have checked with Tracker X's help chat and they say that they have no idea what is causing this.

Having trouble logging in as BlackAeronaut.

Bumping this because it's still an issue for me and I still need help.

Do you have any reason for presuming the cause is due to Tixati, your instance of Tixati or your machine rather than due to Tracker X?  One of Tixati's developers would have to look up what produces that return code, but with uTorrent's response, it seems to imply the problem is caused by the peer, that is, their tracker or server, not by you.  Admittedly, it might not be so simple.  Still, see if you can get someone at Tracker X to look up that return code, too, maybe it's theirs, not Tixati's.  Maybe their authentication of you is failing.  Are you conforming to all their service requirements and protocols?  In any case, it seems to me the person you talked with shouldn't be so certain his tracker or server was not responsible.  Did he justify his certainty to you?  That he's aware of no such reported problem is not a sufficient justification.

You have to try to eliminate areas of responsibility.  Try to get someone to help you who has a different Internet provider, who's in a different location, but who's using the same client and same OS.  Have that person try to download from that tracker, see if it proceeds without mishap.  Could you have some firewall setting that is keeping Tracker X out?  I'm unfamiliar with Windows Firewall.  (I'm also unfamiliar with the code-level procedures and processes of establishing and maintaining a p2p connection.)  Other than this, it's probably not your machine or your OS, that seems much too broad to affect transfers from one tracker or server only.  I have a machine running Windows 10.  I'd help you as long as I have the time.
