IP Filters

by Guest on 2013/08/08 06:32:09 PM
Hi, I dont't understand how these IP Filters work, because I created a new rule, put some country codes in, applied to everything possible, set to drop matches, restarted Tixati and even though it shows that some IPs have been cought I can still see some peers from the blocked countries connected.

It'd be also nice feature to have all the blocked IPs logged.

I use a custom blocklist from I-Blocklist.com which works extremely well with Tixati.

The site features blocklists from many countries for free I believe.

Not only a list of blocked IP would be nice........

........but even better would be the storing those blocked IP descriptions in a scratch file.

With a scratch file one can see who or what is trying to connect to you be it a company, government, fake files, proxy or network.

Vuze is the only program I know that has this feature.

It would be very useful in this age of PRISM.

By way of a bump I'd like to add my voice to those who would like to see a logging feature for the IP blocklist hits.

I have only been using Tixati for six days and I can already say it is by far the best bittorrent client I have ever used.  The wealth of options and degree of control are amazing! IP filter hit logging is the only item on my wish list for Tixati.

it would be a very useful feature :)

also simply being able to block access from a particular country as a whole.

Media Threats

What do you guys block and do you use other online block list locations???
