Why would you ever want that? For some reason do you think it would help you be more secure? You would have to open your firewall up to except Tixati working on any port. You would have to do the same for your router or modem. You advertise your port to the public when in use.

UPNP

Exactly my point. Why would you allow that to run on your computer, if you can avoid it? Although they say the holes were plugged, they were not. A couple of public examples with torrent streaming within the past few years. If you can avoid running UPNP you will be more secure.
Why change to random ports? A feature needs to have a point, an advantage, what is this ones?

+1 to this extremely handy feature.

Sailor24: the advantage, the point, is giving users the OPTION to use their programs to better fit their own needs and preferences. If such a feature is to be implemented it will be OPTIONAL, so you don't have to worry about it fi you're not interested on it.

Listen I just want someone to say why they want this! I have no clue so I may learn something, just tell me why you think it is a feature.

This feature is helpful for those like myself who have an isp that shapes traffic. if any particular port is seen to be being heavily used for even encryped data it gets throttled to half speed. change port and bingo back up it goes again.
