I really love this software that's why I donate over paypal every time I can.
I would though appreciate to have some less obtruding donation notification than a modal window. Just kind of a reminder as additional text during update pop-up, for example.

I really liked the way how Imagine picture viewer (the japanese one) did it. Once I donated I got a personalized license I have entered into the software which stopped pop-ups and showed support in "About" dialog.

I agree with the poster, I too have donated, and I really like the software, and want to continue to support it. However it would be nice to be able to get rid of the donation window with some sort of license.
