I had the problem of Tixati not responding and being unable to end task or close the program without restarting the entire computer. I found that this fix works maybe about 60-70% of the time for me but I don`t know about anyone else:
Right click Tixati icon,
Properties,
Compatibility tab > Run compatibility troubleshooter,
tick "this program worked in an earlier version of windows" next,
tick "Windows 7", next, then Test the program.
Tixati then starts up, about 70% of the time it works great, the other 30% it hangs before I can do anything useful.
Note that just starting in compatibility mode never works for me, i have to go through properties and the troubleshooter.
