I think that, when a seed has no more requests over a significant time (you may state it for your own), and it becomes stucked, blocking others to rise, the system could auto close, or kill that torrent.
Even better: the system could postpone the seeding for, let's say, one day or week...

It works, but remains the problem of inactive (or even dead) torrents. Those which are often found when you work with rare items, with reduced number of downloaders (tending to zero).
that is a community issue. many/most users do not keep sharing. It has been reported that torrents have an average life of just 37 days. an issue of Takers versus Leavers/Sharers.
I have dozens of "dead" torrents, waiting for a seed. Recently one of those completed, after 26 months!
Sometimes, I do new search for the same/similar torrent and find other packs that might have current seeds.

I agree, but I'm asking to be a seeder for the torrents I own and those "dead torrents" prevents to seed others, with potential takers... That's what I meant!
