All of my new torrent files move immediately to "stopped" its orange in the list of red and when I try to start it, it turns blue and then instantly oranges again.

i don't understand it either. users can set their own colors so would have no idea what your blue and orange mean

Disregard the color aspect, they just won't let me download the torrents. They load the same as they always have but won't let me actually start the download. They keep kicking back to the list of "stopped" torrents.

Maybe the files are deleted or you have moved them.
Have you forced tixati to check the files?
