Problem launching Tixati in Docker

by Nischi on 2017/02/07 10:16:49 AM
Hi!

I just discovered that it's possible to run Tixati inside Docker on my NAS(Synology), which I thought would be amazing!
https://hub.docker.com/r/tomashafen/tixati/

However, I run into a problem when trying to lauch the container, the log outputs this error which I can't seem to fix.

(tixati:1): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

Does anyone know if there's an easy fix for this maybe?

PS. I am able to run AirDC Web Client on docker on my NAS without any problem!

I created one a while back too (https://hub.docker.com/r/rjszynal/tixati/),  I've taken influence from the work of Jessie Frazelle who was part of the core docker team. It almost works but I get `Unable to find / create partial piece storage folder` constantly, even if I'm not using a volume, just using a folder within the container.
I've run out of ideas, I think someone from the Tixati dev team would need to explain exactly what causes that error as it isn't incredibly clear.

Thanks for your reply rjszynal

I added your Container to my Docker on my Synology NAS.

But every time I tried to launch I get the following error:

Do you have any suggestion? Also, I'm not sure how to add your bsh-script since it won't even boot successfully at the moment :)

I tried following that bash script you mention on the docker image page.

I get another error instead.

You can see it here:

It gives the error "Conflicting options: --rm and -d".

Is there a typo perhaps on the docker image page? Or might I have missed something else?

Thanks for taking your time.

Can we bump this up?  I am also interested in getting this working on my QNAP but unfortunately I am just a noob and would like some sort of guide if possible with a working version of the docker.
